On May 15 through 17 students from Mercy's Visual and Performing Arts classes shared their final projects for the school year. Paintings, photographs, ceramics, drawings, and fashion designs were on full display in the art wing and theater lobby. Young women in WIPA and WiTech, along with those in Dance Ensemble and Chamber Choir held performances and showed off their short films in the Mercy Theatre.
On May 13, Mercy held our annual Women of Mercy Prayer Service. We honored and gave gratitude to our seniors for all their school contributions. Alumnae were present at the service to light candles for the seniors to symbolize that they will light the way for them. The juniors gave the seniors roses in appreciation for being excellent role models.

The recipient of the Skipper of the Year award embodies the spirit of a leader. A Mercy Skipper shares her talents in co-curricular activities, has a positive attitude, displays pride in her school, is kind to others, is respected by her peers, and is recognized by the faculty and staff.
On Friday, we celebrated our Earth/Spring Day Rally! We started with an informational assembly about the effects our actions have on the earth, with a presentation from alumnae Veronica Aguirre class of 2004. Aguirre is a Utilities Project Manager at the Presidio Trust, the federal agency with primary jurisdictional authority of the Presidio of San Francisco. She is the primary engineer for the Presidio Water Treatment Plant, the second oldest water treatment plant in California. We are so proud she came to share her engineering work and experience with us, inspiring the next generation of aspiring young ladies here at Mercy.
A fun filled rally with many talent acts followed. See the Photo Gallery
