Marianne spent many years as a religious studies faculty member at Notre Dame de Namur University, also running the philosophy and religious studies department and chairing the Faculty Union and the Faculty Development Committee among other positions.
Her professional interests are focused on professional development, mentoring and maternity studies.
She has presented and published on all of these subjects. Most recently she co-authored a piece for the Wabash Journal on teaching meta-literacy in the religious studies classroom with a librarian from Skyline College.
She has also collaborating with experts from various fields on an edited volume entitled Love is Weary.
