Registered 200 hour Yoga Teacher
Ashley grew up as a musical theatre nerd with a passion for healing through art. After a national tour and living in New York for a few years, she discovered yoga and meditation, and a new life began. She then graduated from yoga teacher training in 2014, and explored teaching in various public and private settings.
Through her training with the Art of Yoga Project, she found her favorite niche of students: teen women! She now gratefully teaches all grade levels in physical education, focusing on health from a holistic perspective. After directly witnessing the benefits of mindfulness and positive psychology on the teenage psyche, it has only deepened her belief in the healing ability of yoga to transform any individual. By learning in an inclusive, safe, and trauma informed class setting,
Mercy women are able to demonstrate self agency, challenge themselves, and have some fun, too. In addition to teaching, Ashley supports Mercy in the Admissions department and has been a member of the Farkas Center board for several years. In her spare time, Ashley likes to get into nature whenever possible, cooking with real food, cheering on her hockey teams (the Red Wings and the Sharks, in that order), going zero waste, and embracing life as a new mama.
