Photo Club

 

 

Mission Statement: To teach students how to develop and print their black and white photographs

 

The Goals of the club: To make the Photo Club members more aware of photographs and to expose them to the artistic medium of the black and white photography.

 

Time and place of your regular meetings: We plan to meet once a month, hopefully on Tuesdays or possibly on Thursdays.

 

Events and /or activities your club sponsors: Christmas Photos in the Theater Lobby and Halloween Photos in the Theatre Lobby during 5th & 6th periods and possibly one or two field trips to a photography exhibition at a local museum.

Alice Hsu (12 - 5) - President

Jennifer Jimenez (12 - 6) - Vice President

Emily Calimquim (12 - 2) - Secretary

 

When are the officers elected: These officers were appointed after filling out an application and being interviewed by the moderator.

 

There is a $5.00 membership fee collected to purchase chemicals and paper that the members will use in the Photo Lab.  Students may purchase black & white film at a reduced cost because it is purchased in bulk.

Student work has been used for the school yearbook, the literary magazine, and various art exhibits in the Bay Area.
