Dear Mercy Community,
Today, we are writing to inform you that Mr. Scott McLarty has resigned as Mercy High School’s Head of School effective June 30, 2018. This month, Scott will assist in our leadership transition, and we wish him the best as he begins a new journey in his career as an educator.
During his two years of leadership, Scott helped Mercy High School secure the two largest donations in the school’s history, introduced Social Advocacy Based Learning (SABL), built an advancement team, introduced a wellness program, and furthered Student Support Services.
As Chair-Elect and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Sister Carolyn Krohn RSM, Ph.D. (Class of ’65) and Natalie Cirigliano, Ed.D. will provide leadership to Mercy High School as they work with the Executive Leadership Team. Both Sister Carolyn and Natalie are experienced educators who can ensure Mercy students continue to benefit from the programs and curriculum that you value.
The Board of Trustees is actively planning for the future with the assistance of outside resources as we assemble a search committee to launch a national search. We will send regular updates to keep you informed throughout this transitional period.
The Board of Trustees remains excited for the 2018-2019 School Year and the many blessings it will bring. Our Executive Team, faculty and staff join us in affirming our commitment to providing a superior education for our students.
Should you have any questions regarding this transition please do not hesitate to contact Sister Carolyn at firstname.lastname@example.org and Natalie at email@example.com.
Thank you for your loyalty and generosity to Mercy High School, San Francisco, and for carrying forward the Mercy charism in all you do today.
Board of Trustees
