| October/November | School Visitations School Visitations:
Representatives from Mercy’s Admissions Office visit over 35 schools to speak with 7th and 8th grade girls. Admissions packets are distributed, questions are answered and information is shared. |
| Monday, October 15 | First Day to Call for Shadow Program:
Parents must call the Admissions Office (415-584-5929) to arrange an appointment for eighth graders who want to visit classrooms during a regular school day. Before calling, please download the Shadow Visit Form. |
| Sunday, October 28 | Open House Program:
Starts promptly at 9:00am. Visitors will tour the school, meet faculty, alumnae and students to learn more about academic, athletic and co-curricular programs (approximately 2 hours). Reservations are not required. There is ample neighborhood parking. Campus parking is closed. Financial aid applications are available at Open House. A family interview is required in order apply for tuition assistance. The scheduling of interviews will take place at Open House. Call the Business Office for details: 415-337-7141. |
| Monday, December 10 | Application Deadline Application Deadline:
Application and $80 fee. The late application fee is $100. Late applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis. |
| Saturday, January 5 | High School Placement Test:
8:15AM - 12 noon Check-in begins in Mercy's front lobby at 8:00am. Students should take this test only once at any SF Catholic Archdiocesan High School to which they have applied. The test results will be sent to three other schools as indicated. Students with documented learning disabilities may be eligible for extended time testing. Call the Admissions Office 415-584-5929 for requirements and to obtain an application for extended time testing. |
| Saturday, January 12 | High School Placement Test:
8:15am - 12 noon Check-in begins in Mercy's front lobby at 8:00AM. This day is for applicants who were unable to take the test on the previous Saturday. Extended time tests are not available. |
| Monday, January 14 | Financial Aid Application postmarked deadline |
| Mid January | Documents:
The Admissions Director contacts each applicant’s current school to request the 7th and 8th grade transcripts, standardized test results, and recommendations. Parents/students are not required to submit these documents. |
| Friday, March 7 | Notification letters are mailed to applicants. |
| Monday, March 17 | Registration Deadline for entering freshmen. |
| Sunday, April 20 | New Student and Parent Orientation. |
