What every applicant and her family should know:
Within the context of a challenging college preparatory curriculum that meets University of California and California State University eligibility requirements, students are offered an array of Honors and Advanced Placement classes. Mercy High School welcomes students with a wide range of proficiency and ability levels from over 75 public and private schools in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Of the many notable programs Mercy offers, these merit special notice:
- The McAuley Academic Program (MAP) for students with documented learning disabilities
- Women in Medicine Program for students interested in healthcare and medical professions
- Women in the Arts Program for gifted and serious artists
Mercy educators are committed to the development of each student’s moral character as well as her ability to make a difference in the world. Mercy’s student body reflects the rich cultural and religious diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Admissions Committee values all attributes of each applicant. While academic performance is very important, the committee also considers each applicant’s essay, test scores, extracurricular activities and recommendations. Mercy High School admits girls of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin.
