Summer Reading 2008

Mercy High School is proud to host RuthAnne Lum McCunn, author of The Moon Pearl, who will speak to the school on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.  Ms. McCunn was born in San Francisco, where she now lives, and raised in Hong Kong.  She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Texas and a California Teaching Credential.  Ms. McCunn has taught in public schools and been a guest lecturer at UC Santa Cruz, the University of San Francisco and Cornell.   Her other books include Thousand Pieces of Gold, Wooden Fish Songs and her most recent novel, God of Luck, published in 2007.
