The Registrar is responsible for the records of all Mercy students, both current and former.

All requests for records must be submitted in writing. Phone and E-mail requests will not suffice as the Registrar can not release any information without express written authorization from the student or a parent/legal guardian.

If you are in need of an official or unofficial copy of your transcript:
Official transcripts are signed by the registrar and sealed with the official school seal. They are sent in sealed envelopes and are only considered official as long as the envelope is not opened. Official transcripts can not be faxed.
Unofficial transcripts are not signed or sealed with the official school seal. Unofficial transcripts can be faxed.

(For admission and employer purposes, an official transcript is usually required.)

Please mail or fax a written authorization from the student or a parent/legal guardian with the following information:

  1. Student's full name

(Must be the name used while attending Mercy)

  2. The record you are requesting (i.e. Official Transcript or Unofficial Transcript) and the amount of copies you need
  3. The full address and addressee you would like your records sent to
  4. A contact phone number (in case there is difficulty locating the records)
  5. A signature from the student or parent/legal guardian

Please allow 2-3 business days from the date the request is received for processing. Please allow another 2-7 business days for mailing. We do not offer express, overnight service, or international mailing.

We do not charge Alumnae for transcripts but you are free to make a donation to the school. Please visit our Office of Advancement & Public Relations for more information.

If you are an employer or an employee verification company seeking graduation verification:

Please mail or fax an authorization, signed by the student and consenting to the release of such records, with the following information:

  1. Student's full name

(Must be the name used while attending Mercy)

  2. A list of the information you are seeking
  3. The preferred method of response (i.e. phone, fax, mail)
